Victory in the Gulf

August 2, 1990 marked a pivotal date in world history; on that day, Iraq invaded Kuwait, only to run headfirst into U.N.-backed economic sanctions and a coalition force of 34 nations headed up by the United States. Henceforth, the Gulf War (also known as Operation Desert Storm) officially began, and the said coalition proceeded to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi control over the following seven months. The documentary Victory in the Gulf tells this incredible story via commentary and carefully-selected archival footage, much of it culled from the front lines of combat.
