Crisis

In this melodrama, a brain surgeon goes on a South American vacation and finds himself and his wife kidnapped by an ailing dictator who forces the doctor to operate upon him. The rebels try unsuccessfully to convince the surgeon to botch the job. Meanwhile, the rebels kidnap the surgeon's wife just prior to the surgery. He has no idea that she is gone. The operation is a success, but the dictator later collapses while attempting to quash the rebellion. The man who would succeed him is killed by a sniper. Democracy comes to the country and all is well.
