In this film, Henry Tyroon (James Garner) is the subject of a swindle when his investment agent, Molly Thatcher (Lee Remick), is instructed by her boss to sell Henry a bunch of useless stock. However, when an unexpected event causes the stock prices to soar, Henry earns millions in the deal that was supposed to leave him penniless.
