In this musical western, a remake of a 1925 silent film, a wealthy businessman begins masquerading as a bandito who after a Mexican fiesta kidnaps a pretty young woman to keep her from entangling herself in the hedonistic debauchery inherent in the Roaring-Twenties. The abducted girl does not know that the "desperado" is really her deceased father's ex-business partner and has been supporting her for years. The man takes the girl to his lonely mountain cabin near the border. There she encounters an assortment of characters including a feisty Latina servant who secretly lusts after her boss and frequently tries to seduce him through her exotic Mexican dances. But the boss is determined to instill high-moral standards into his charge and ignores the brazen advances of the Mexican maid. Eventually, the flapper's hatred of her custodian's strict morality changes to love and respect. The maid leaves in a huff freeing the two to become lovers.
