In this musical, secretary Ellen Hallet falls in love with her dashing, wealthy boss, Douglas J. Morrissen, Jr. but feels powerless to express her affection. However, when her well-meaning roommate attempts to set Douglas and Ellen up, she ends up falling in love herself.
