The Tartars invade the peace loving Vikings in Russia during the middle ages. Oleg (Victor Mature) is the chieftain who must protect the village from the murderous rampage of Tartar invaders. Burundal (Orson Welles) is the Tartan aggressor who leads the plunderous assault on the Vikings.
