This film is based on the exploits of columnist Walter Winchell. The Winchell counterpart this time is Douglas Fairbanks Jr., who despite his cynical streak falls hard and fast for a beautiful actress. He rescues her from crooks interfering with her life, but loses her to a handsome producer.
