In this gritty western, told via flashback, a young man endeavors to escape the domination of his father, a corrupt sheriff for whom the boy has lost all respect. He runs away, but later returns to find that nothing has changed when he sees his father turn away from the lynching of the boy's sister's lover. The son begins to actively rebel against his dad, and this causes him to be branded an outlaw.
