This science-fiction fantasy supposes that H.G. Wells actually constructed a time machine -- which then fell into the hands of Jack the Ripper. The Ripper travels forward in time to 1979, forcing Wells to follow in an attempt to prevent the murderer from continuing his rampage in a new century.
