The Life & Times of Tim: The Complete First Season [2 Discs]

"As created, conceived and designed for Home Box Office by comedian and illustrator Steve Dildarian, this gleefully raunchy and irreverent animated series follows the life and day-to-day crises of a twentysomething named Tim (voiced by Dildarian), an executive-level employee of the Omnicorp corporation who lives in an urban apartment with his girlfriend Amy (Mary Jane Otto). Tim is pleasant, well-meaning and seemingly well-adjusted, but time and again, ill-advised decisions made by both him and a variety of eccentric acquaintances plunge the poor fellow into embarrassing situations - everything from being body-painted with a ""Suck It, Philly"" slogan at a baseball game in front of Amy's Phillies-loving father, to accepting an advance from Amy's wheelchair-bound grandmother and drawing undue attention from the rest of the family. Recurring characters in the first season included Debbie (Bob Morrow), an African American street hooker with a frizzy blonde wig and kinky apparel; a drunken local priest with a weakness for female temptations (Rick Gomez); and Tim's crazy boss (Peter Giles), prone to everything from forcing Tim to take responsibility for a dog's accident in the hallway, to renaming Tim after the pooch. Guest voices during the first season included actors Bob Saget (Full House) and Phylicia Rashad (The Cosby Show). Each half-hour during the ten-episode first season fell into two sketches of approximately 12 minutes each."
