The FX hit smoothly mixes searing drama and mordant humor as it dissects conflicts between two physicians who are partners and best friends: the skirt-chasing, morality-challenged Christian Troy and idealistic Sean McNamara, who's (slightly) more straitlaced. Christian and Sean were based in Miami for the show's first four seasons but moved to L.A. for the last three.
