After the seemingly unstoppable Jason was killed by a young Tommy Jarvis (John Shepard) in the previous film, he returns to haunt the dreams of the boy. Driven over the edge by his tormentor, Tommy is shipped off to a halfway house for disturbed youth, where Jason returns to murder the inhabitants.
