In this filmed version of the October 26, 1881, O.K. Corral shootout in Tombstone, Arizona, Burt Lancaster plays Wyatt Earp, marshal of Tombstone, while Kirk Douglas is his best friend, consumptive gunfighter Doc Holliday. The bulk of the film concerns the tensions leading up to the famous battle.
