Very loosely drawn from a 1920s George and Ira Gershwin musical, Stanley Donen's satire of the fashion industry stars Fred Astaire as Dick Avery, a photographer who falls for Greenwich Village bookstore clerk Jo Stockton (Audrey Hepburn), whom Dick makes over into a top supermodel.
