Roy Courtnay (Ian McKellen) has made a successful living as a smooth con artist. On an online chatroom, he crosses paths with wealthy widow Betty McLeish (Helen Mirren), who seems like the perfect opportunity for one last con. However, the deeper Roy falls into Betty's life, the deeper his emotions run for her.
