This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First International Conference on COTS-Based Software Systems, ICCBSS 2002, held in Orlando, Florida, USA, in February 2002.
The 23 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The book addresses all current issues on commercial-off-the-shelf software systems, from the R&D as well as from the practitioner's point of view.
