The Metropolitan Opera mounted this 2008 production of Richard Strauss's 1905 +Salome, with a cast that includes Karita Mattila in the title role, Joseph Kaiser as Narraboth, Kim Begley as Herod and Ildik? Koml?si as Herodias. J?rgen Flimm designed the production, Santo Loquasto created the sets and costumes, and Doug Varone choreographed., with Barbara Willis Sweete directing for the stage. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Chorus and Ballet lend support under the baton of Patrick Summers, with Donald Palumbo serving as chorus master.
