Greed in the Sun [Blu-ray]

Jean-Paul Belmondo stars as Rocco, a truck driver in Africa who attempts to take advantage of useful information. Upon hearing that fellow trucker Ploue (Lino Ventura) is transporting a load of guns and ammunition worth the titular sum, Rocco and his female companion (Andrea Parisys) proceed to hijack the vehicle. Ploue is enticed by his boss Steiner (Reginald Kernan) with a handsome reward if he can recover the truck with its contents. The heated chase takes the four through dangerous North African terrain. This action feature directed by Henri Verneuil for MGM was based on a novel by Claude Veillot. Veillot would go on to write numerous screenplays--one of which he collaborated with 100,000 Dollars in the Sun screenwriter Michel Audiard (Espion Leve Toi).
