We sometime talk ourselves into covering up our mistakes and even ask God to be a participant. We even have great suggestions to offer Him in ways we think that He could be more helpful. We willingly committed the crime but we have zero intentions of doing the time. We tend to blame God for our demise should He not help us the way we want Him to.

Compromise can slowly destroy the potential or possibility of progress into full on rebellion against God. At this point we really are feeling powerful but this type of power will only serve to deceive and destroy us. This is the same type of deceptive compromise which Satan used to try and tempt Jesus to cast Himself down from the mountain. Invariably the power of free will which permits compromise, once activated within us, will pollute our spirit and destroy our capacity to make good decisions.
