Guns of Darkness

A British couple falls into the middle of a political uprising in a volatile South American country. A New Years Eve party is hosted by Claire Jordan (Leslie Caron) and husband Tom (David Niven). The country's President Rivera (David Opatoshu) is wounded in the uprising and attempts to flee for his life. Tom leaves behind his profitable plantation to escort the wounded leader across the border. Claire joins the pair as they start out by car, but mainly walk through the sweltering jungle in an attempt to escape the wrath of the rebels. Tom's moral stance against non-violence is tested when he must kill an aggressor to save himself, the president, and his pregnant wife. Terror surround the trio at every turn as they continue their flight from the murderous mob.
