Sinner's Holiday

James Cagney and Joan Blondell make their feature film debuts in this melodrama of murder, romance and matriarchal domination. Set on Coney Island, much of the tales takes place in a penny arcade owned by Ma Delano. Mitch McKane (Warren Hymer) runs a sideshow and is a bootlegger on the side. He is very interested in Ma's lovely daughter Jennie (Evelyn Knapp), one of his workers. His unending flirtation becomes so extreme that one of Evelyn's co-workers intervenes. Meanwhile, Jennie's brother Harry (Cagney) who also works for Mitch quietly robs Mitch blind. Trouble brews when Mitch finds out.
