The Best House in London

A group of English noblemen champion the cause of the first legally sanctioned house of prostitution in a bold social experiment taken from the French. Sir Francis Leybourne (George Sanders) is to head the house of ill repute, but his death at his opium farm in India leaves his money and property to a naive niece. The late man's disinherited son Walter (David Hemmings) tries to take over the bordello and get his hands on the money in this offbeat situation comedy where established Victorian attitudes collide with intellectual liberal ideals.
