In this adaptation of the James M. Barrie play, Helen Hayes repeats her stage role as a Victorian Scotswoman of far-reaching ambition. Using her supposedly-frail feminine wiles, Hayes maneuvers her fatuous husband Brian Aherne into a successful political career.
