Flamingo Road

In this melodrama, deputy Fielding Carlisle (Zachary Scott) and politician Dan Reynolds (David Brian) fall for bewitching sideshow dancer Lane Bellamy (Joan Crawford) when her carnival makes a stop in their small southern town. However, corruption and jealousy in the local political scene threaten to destroy Lane's dream of happiness.
