Forever Darling

The second Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz vehicle for MGM (the first was the phenomenally successful The Long Long Trailer), Forever Darling is an updated revision of a never-filmed William Powell property. Lucy plays ng that they'll be hanged for this "offense", the two cavalrymen barge into a peaceful village in search of a fall guy. Since neither soldier really wants to be in this particular corner of the world, there is a certain amount of sympathy for their plight, no matter how brutish their solution.
