Song of Back and Neck

Writer and director Paul Lieberstein plays sad-sack paralegal Fred, who works at his successful father's law firm and suffers from crippling back pain. Despite his physical and emotional discomfort, he falls for a client (Rosemarie DeWitt) in the process of getting a divorce. His pursuit of her is enabled by the help of a Chinese acupuncturist (Raymond Ma). He is able to treat Fred's pain as well as literally make his back and neck "sing" as his body strangely releases sound along with the tension. Robert Pine and Brian d'Arcy James co-star.
