The 1949 romantic drama Una Cancion a la Virgin concerns a young man with a desire to become a famous singer. He soon falls in love with a loyal young lady, but when he learns that her best friend has the career he wants, he breaks her heart to run off with the friend. He eventually comes to realize the foolishness of his decision, and makes an effort to earn back the love of the good woman.
