Dead Certain

Conned into kidnapping a young woman, Burke Thomas, free-wheeling private investigator of things from the long past and part-time treasure hunter, has to free her. Before he can do so he finds the client who hired him dead. Then a gang is after him, the local sheriff is asking embarrassing questions, and worse, he was only vacationing in the area in hopes of finding a long-buried, massive hoard of ingot gold. A novel set in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California, an unstated few years ago.
