While working a smuggling case for Astute Investigations, Denver detective Wil Bregon is drawn to San Francisco's rollicking Barbary Coast. Formerly an Eastern lawyer and experienced gun for hire, Wil's not daunted by outlaws and ruffians or prowling foggy dockside taverns.
