Tom Swift and His Electric Locomotive

Young Tom Swift sets out to build an electric locomotive of a faster type in order to save the financial existence of Richard Bartholomew's railroad. Bartholomew makes a generous offer so that Tom can't refuse the challenge and shortly thereafter Tom meets some of the railroad man's enemies seeking to thwart the plan.
