Moliere was a prominent French playwright who is widely considered to be one of the greatest comedians in all of literature. Moliere's impact was so great that many phrases from his plays are still used often in the French language today. The Impostures of Scapin is a play that centers around Octave, a man who has secretly married Hyacinthe without his father's knowledge. When his father tries to get him to marry someone else he calls upon a talkative valet to help him out.
