Wimpy businessman, Dean, has his office taken over by a ranting brat new hire, Shanna, who disrupts the entire office with her entitled behavior.
Things are so bad Dean no longer lets his wife of 20 years, Gina, drop in at the office.
Gina gets suspicious and investigates and gets ravished by the young Shanna after she lies to Gina about having an affair with Dean.
Gina throws Dean out and takes up a lesbian relationship with the young vixen.
Shanna wins!
Or not?
You'll have read to find out.
oOOooOOo
The original premise was twofold.
One was to write a story entirely in dialogue without attribution. This seemed to have put readers off. Some could not follow the thread. Others found the grammatical errors and syntax errors especially off-putting.
This comes with the territory when writing dialogue. No one speaks grammatically correct in plain conversation, especially in a heated argument, and syntax is often the first and foremost casualty.
I have cleaned that up to some extent in this version. Though I am not a big stickler for 'correct' grammar. People who are grammar-nazis should become English teachers and leave the writing to people that respect language as a fluid medium.
The second objective was to present a situation where a character is too good for his own good.
Dean owns the business but cannot bring himself to fire Shana even as she upsets the entire office.
I have worked in office environments like this but I am not a writer that feels the need to have everything I write be 'believable' anyway. I just thought it fit with what I was trying to do here.
The conceit is that Shanna's destructive behavior might actually expose the problems Dean's 'good nature' conceal.
Shanna practically takes control of Dean's office then sexually takes control of his marriage but in the end she might leave them both stronger than she found them if only Dean has the strength to survive her machinations.
I suppose I could have written a 'sweet and light' version along these lines but we don't always do sweet and light.
This is down and dirty. Some might say Porn-On-Paper. I don't agree but if you know you are a prude PLEASE don't read this.
For the rest of you grown-ups: I hope you enjoy it.
