Julie is a young American living in Japan who never quite finds time for a boyfriend. Her new favorite artist is Madoka, a master of ink painting who always makes time for pleasure. When Julie meets her idol in the flesh, she learns Madoka practices another craft in secret, and her next work of art is going to be Julie.
