Snake Tales

Rattlesnakes measure "8 foot long," where I come from. AND some even chase you. Nobody knows what happens if they catch you.

We tell our tales for hours, gathered round a pickup's tailgate, around campfires—even standing in line at the supermarket.

Dead snakes dangling from poles along the highways are commonplace, and they stay there till the buzzards peck the jewels from their hides.
