The new colonists on a distant planet were nervous, not least because the advance Survey Team had disappeared. To everyone’s concern, Darla has adopted a young, wolf-like animal after being forced to kill its mother when she was attacked. More worryingly, the appearance of an unknown starship might mean that the colonists have to fight for their new world.
