This work is loosely based on an incident when, while traveling through Europe as a naive medical student, the author and a hitch-hiking couple were apprehended at the Czechoslovakian border. Encountering major Olaff and his radical remedy for treating misguided youngsters was something never to be forgotten by all concerned. How would the major's Biblical approach be viewed by society today?
