Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is the center of Ningxia's politics, economy and culture. Yinchuan lies in the northern part of Ningxia, east of Helan Mountain, and enjoys a temperate continental climate that is mostly windy and dry.
