When on a school archaeological expedition to a cave temple, robbers raid the temple. They steal, amongst other things, a sacred sapphire. Sampol winds up in the possesion of a pair of sacred armbands. Soon after, he discovers that he has unusual powers. The stolen gem has powers of it’s own and the abbot of the small village implores Sampol to retrieve the artifact.
