Lolita vs. God's Law

A case study in Australian film censorship. Christian Australia felt Adrian Lyne's film of Lolita went too far - it violated God's Laws by validating and encouraging paedophilia. The Christian Right gathered en masse to lobby the Australian Parliament to ban the film and in so doing place God's Law above freedom of speech. Did they succeed?
