Last Call [a short story]

For hard drinker and con man Jake, last call means his last shot to find a woman willing and desperate enough to take him in for the night. Only tonight his luck runs out, and Jake finds himself out in the cold with nowhere to go. What starts out as a search for someplace warm to pass the night quickly turns into a chance for Jake to be a hero and finally put the ghosts of his past to rest.
