Topher, Zorn, and Gertrude find a mangled body on the Rugby Field of their new "school," Raleigh's Prep. They decide to investigate, a decision that leads them deeper into the black heart of the school, placing them in grave danger. More students are murdered, and after a bleak winter, the boys realize that investigation is futile. If they want to live, they'll have to run.
