An eighth grade girl witnesses the zany culture war between her banker father and his old hippie mother, who is stuck in the sixties with bean sprouts,four spoiled cats,gallons of patchouli oil,ten pink flamingos, fifty wind chimes, and some questionable brownies baked in an ancient stove she calls "The Iron Maiden."
