In this "coming out" story Deep Diver plays on the blindness of a gay youth compared with the inability of his parents to see the needs of their son. Too many parents of gay sons and daughters allow themselves to be led by bigots, often hiding their own unresolved identity issues, behind the veil of antiquated and false doctrines.
