Sonya and her brother Leon are Ronins that make a living as thieves, bodyguards, and assassins. Having returned from a self-imposed exile, Sonya is contacted by an old friend with a job offer that gives her the chance to rebuild the life she once had. Once on Asimov station, they meet Elina, one of the Marooned, that has been looking into the disappearances among her people.
