Dearest Laura: The Civil War Letters Of Captain John Reed Beatty, 1861-1865

For the Sesquicentennial of the US Civil War I have digitally transcribed the nearly 150 wartime letters my great-grandfather wrote from the field to his love and future wife Laura. There are many picture samples of his beautiful penmanship. A few letters from Laura that survived are also included.
