Every culture also has legends of men and women who have a meeting of minds, and how joyous -- or how tragic -- such a meeting of minds can be.

Alexander Fredericks was a high school math teacher, former U.S. Army Special Forces officer, and career bachelor. He had no idea that within the space of four days, a meeting with Katryn Vaughn, mother of one of his students, would change his life and take him down a life path he had never expected to walk.
