A Northern California sheriff's detective has his early morning surf session cut short by the discovery of a body in the boulders of a local breakwater. Detective Patrick Nolan begins investigating what appears to be the tragic accidental drowning of a young local surfer. When the accident becomes a murder; Nolan finds himself tracking a ruthless killer who has left very few clues in his wake.
