Beekeeping 101: Why I Keep Honey Bees (and why you should, too!)

I keep honey bees for a variety of reasons. Primarily, I am fascinated by these incredible creatures. I love their work ethic! I stand in awe as I observe the intricate and delicately balanced social order. But most of all, I raise bees to produce honey which, in turn, makes me money. I am a small-scale, commercial beekeeper. I started as a hobbyist and this endeavor became profitable.
