A naive young American woman replies to an advertisement to serve with an English Lord. Little does she know what is in store for her, and later her two friends, once she discovers exactly how this man expects her to serve him. He is demanding and she rebellious, the conflict between them can only be resolved one way - his and no other. Suffering is her destiny until she accepts and complies.
