Best Served Cold

Part 2 of the Charity the Vampire series. It's cold and raining outside when out of the darkness comes a voice that Charity instantly recognizes. Like a bad penny, Vera just keeps on turning up every few years making Charity's life hard for a week or two before disappearing again for a few more years. Something is different this time though and Charity lets her guard down a little. Can Vera be trusted? And just who is the guy that's with her? Something about him isn't right, and his blood has a taste in it that Charity just can't identify. In the heat of passion, things suddenly take a disastrous turn, leaving Charity fighting for her life as her 'friend' decides that revenge is best served cold.
